For beauty businesses

The girls who fell off.

You're sitting on a pile of money and you never touch it. Not new followers. Not strangers comparing you to 4 other girls. The girls already in your booking history who came 3, 5, 8 times and then fell off. You remember their nails. They remember your prices. And neither of you has said a word in 2 months.

Quick disclosure. I do the marketing for Weblingo, so this page is an ad. Everything on it is free to do and works whether you ever talk to us or not.

01 · What actually happened

She didn't find a better tech

I look at beauty businesses for work. When a tech tells me her month went quiet, the first thing I open isn't her Instagram, it's her booking history.

It's always the same picture: 20 or 30 girls who used to come like clockwork, gone quiet, and not 1 of them ever got a text.

Here's what actually happened to Jess, because it's almost never what you think. She didn't find a better tech. Money got weird for a month, so she stretched her fill to 5 weeks, then let the set grow out and told herself she's taking a break from nails. Or she bought a kit off Amazon and she's been doing them herself, badly, and she knows it. Or she tried the $25 girl 1 time because it was the week rent was due, and got exactly what she paid for.

None of them decided to leave you. They just stopped, and every week that passes it gets weirder for her to text you out of nowhere. She thinks about it. Your work is still all over her camera roll. But 2 months in, reaching out feels like walking back into a party she left without saying bye. So she doesn't.

That silence isn't her choosing someone else. It's her waiting for it to stop being awkward, and you can end that with 1 text.

Your work is still all over her camera roll.

02 · The list

20-40 names in 10 minutes

So open the booking app and scroll. Everyone who used to come regular and hasn't been in for 6+ weeks goes on a list.

Most of you will find 20-40 names in 10 minutes, and every one of them already trusts you with her hands, already knows your prices, already knows where you park. A stranger found you on a map, compared you to 4 other girls, read your reviews twice, and still might ghost the DM. Jess just needs to know Thursday's open.

The list already exists. It's just sorted by date instead of by money.

Don't blast them. 3-5 girls a week, every week, whoever just crossed the 6-week mark. 10 minutes with your coffee on Monday.

It's not a campaign, it's a habit, and it never runs out, because someone falls off every single week.

Jess just needs to know Thursday's open.

03 · The text

Personal or it's nothing

The text is personal or it's nothing. From your number, not your business page. Her name, 1 real detail, 2 times.

No "we miss you!!", no 20% off, and never "haven't seen you in forever", because calling out the gap is exactly the thing she's embarrassed about.

jess!! was flipping through my books and thought of you. i've got thursday 6pm or saturday 11 open this week if you want your nails done. the chrome frenchies from last time are still my favorite set i've ever done
omg i've literally been meaning to book 🥹 saturday please
14 minutes. She was never gone, she was waiting for it to stop being awkward.

She doesn't need convincing. She just needs you to go first so it stops being awkward.

And the replies, when they come, are almost all some version of "omg i've literally been meaning to book", because she has been meaning to.

Never "haven't seen you in forever". The gap is the thing she's embarrassed about.

04 · Why now

The 1 move that gets easier when the market gets tight

This is also the 1 move that gets easier when the market gets tight, not harder. Strangers are careful right now. They compare everything, they take days to decide. Jess already decided, months ago. You're not winning a comparison, you're reopening a tab she never meant to close.

When she's back in the chair, book the next one before she leaves, like you already know to do. And put a reminder in your phone for the ones who reply "not this month", because "not this month" from a girl who knows your work is worth more than "maybe" from a stranger. Her month ends.

You're not winning a comparison, you're reopening a tab she never meant to close.

The quiet part

I'll say the quiet part about slow seasons. Some of it is the economy, and no text fixes that. But a chunk of every dead week is just girls who drifted and were never asked back, and that chunk is the only part of a slow month you can fix by Friday.

The strangers, the map, the reviews, the page that books without a conversation, that's the machine we build at Weblingo. The girls already in your history don't need the machine. They need to hear from you.

A free 15-minute chat

If you want us to look at the whole picture with you, the drifted girls and the strangers both, we do a free 15-minute chat. No pitch, we'll tell you what we'd do either way.

Book the free 15-min chat → Link in the description too.

Worst case, you send 5 texts on Monday and find out how many of them were waiting for you to go first.
